FRIED RICE

The other day i was at the triple door with eva and we got an order of fried rice for only $5 bucks. And ya know it coming from Wild Ginger, it probably would be good, and damn it was, probably one of the best fried rices i ever had, yum!

SPACE NEEDLE

Went up to the Space Needle just the other day, jeez couldnt remember when the last time i went up to the needle. I must have been really young because i dont remember, but i know i was up there before, it was just one of those things. Anyways went up there with Susanne and encountered the nice security guy who kindly asked "Where you from? Korea? Japan?", caught a bit off guard i just said, "I live here" then we were off to the top. Got a little speech from the staff, luckily i can understand things here, anyways she said that the needle was built at the cost of around 4 million bucks and then later on a overhaul of the elevators had to replaced at the same cost of 4 million bucks. Go figure the elevators cost as much as the needle. Anyways got to the top and it was just in time for the sunset. Very nice! Took some pics and took in some views. It was great to see all the sites from up above.

HOW ARE YOU?

When i came to japan one of the phrases i taught the most was "How are you?". At first i thought to myself do we really say that back in america? and laugh ... Funny, but anyways i will teach it day in and day out to the kids. So elem, jr, etc, they all know it. So comes my trip back home listening to people talk and actually people do ask "How are you?". Funny i never realized it til recently. Probably because it is disguised in with other phrases such as "How are you doing?", "How are you today?" ... most of these things i pretty much encounter when shopping, but its good to know that hey its useful.

TOM'S CABIN

Well it was an interesting weekend. Went out via ferry out to the hood canal to Tom's cabin, for some good ole fun with the friends, alot of eating, bbq, poker, clam digging, rock skipping, movies, majhong, and just chillin. Even though we played poker all nite until the sun came up, it was all good. Who needs sleep anyways. It was something i definetly needed away from my hermit life in japan. Until next year!
