I LUV MY STUDENTS

The other day I got a bunch of letters rounded up from yoshikura sensei. All 50 letters were to me from my students at Toyo high school in japan. The letters were about my mom and grandpa and to cheer up. I was amazed I read each one many were in english and japanese. It would be difficult enough to write it in another language. I just about cried reading all the letters, I love my students. Amazed how mature they are and they just in high school. Some told stories of how I helped them, or they remembered my smile or they said simply cheer up. Some of the reasons why I teach is because this is why. So happy to have such great students. Helps me move on but not forget.

TRUSTY RED SHOVEL

That's my dads old trusty red snow shovel. We have had it for years. I remember my dad clearing the snow since I was a little kid with it.

Today I got quite a surprise as I dreamed that my heart was racing and then I woke up and it really was. Kept going for 30 minutes which worried me, cuz that was the longest ever. Headed to the ER to get checked out. Everything was ok luckily maybe all this stress recently been getting to me and I don't even know it.

In the afternoon we picked up the monk from airway heights. Forgot the street name til I saw it again "lawson" I should remember that its just like the convenience store in japan. I like the monk really relax and nice guy always smiling. Today we brought him over so he could bless the house and everything in it so mom could take anything she wanted up to heaven. In addition with all the stuff going on he blessed me and my dad to protect our health. Supernatural, religious yeah but a good sigh of relief to do something with all the stuff been going on.

COOL!

Finally! The cards came in from snapfish.com. All these new online services had to try one out, especially with my costco blunder of "photo" cards, as I didn't notice they were yeah just photos and not on card stock. Guess that was a 70 photo mistake. Hahaha guess I can reuse them since I didn't date them. Back to these new batch I got, not bad was my first impression, not razor sharp but pretty cool printing on back and front about $30 for 20 cards. Guess its ok. Well now time for the real work I gotta write em and send them out.

MY BOOKS

I have been waiting a long time for my books and they finally all show up on a saturday. I guess the postman busy cuz its the holidays. Better late than never. The Last Lecture book was first introduced to me by one of my fellow teachers at Toyo high school, Mr. Hayashi a bookworm at heart and a guy who reads about a novel every two weeks. Amazing, all in English, he even reads more books than me which doesn't take much. Anyways back to the book, don't let the title fool you its a great book about a professor who has terminal cancer and writes about not death but how to achieve your childhood dream. If you have time you must pick up this book. Oh the other book? Gonna start taking Japanese 312 and see how I fare, so just trying to see where I am at and do some catch up.
