Of course translated in english for all my friends ... here is how the conversation went ..
(note: Daniel is my friend who was the ALT at the princpals old school, the principal had requested a ALT who spoke Japanese before, guess he is not so lucky with me.. ha ha)
principal: Do you know Daniel?
me: Yes, I know him
principal: He speaks very good Japanese, he is fluent.
me: Yes, of course he does, he is Japanese. Sorry, I am Chinese.
principal: Oh, you don't speak much Japanese. (as he walks away)
